Zhaoqing education base of Guangdong Geological Science Popularization Education Museum

At 9 a.m. on May 15, 2021, the first Council and Executive Council meeting of Guangdong Geophysical Society was successfully held in Zhaoqing education base of Guangdong Geological Science Popularization Education Museum. Several representatives including the executive director, director and supervisor of the society attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Secretary General Cheng Gu. At the beginning of the meeting, the host of the meeting, Cheng Gu, introduced the representatives of directors and members of the board of supervisors attending the meeting and extended a warm welcome to the representatives. After stating that the number of participants of the Council and the Standing Council reached the requirements specified in the articles of association and that the resolutions of the meeting would be effective, Cheng Gu, Secretary General of the society, reported on the work of the fourth council in the past six months since its establishment. It mainly includes the filing of the head and supervisor of the society, the disclosure of information after the change of office, the change registration of the legal representative of social organizations, the verification of the new articles of association of the society, the selection of candidates for deputies to the 10th National Congress of China Association for science and technology and the most beautiful scientific and technological workers in Guangdong Province.

According to the meeting process, the delegates also voted to change the head of the science popularization Professional Committee of the society to Professor Shen Xuzhang (affiliated to the school of Earth Science and engineering of Sun Yat sen University), add Professor Xu Weigao Gong and Professor Liu Hai as the executive director of the society, add Professor Xia Shaohong as the vice president of the society, add Sanhe (Guangzhou) Detection Technology Co., Ltd., and the school of civil engineering of Guangzhou University as the executive director unit of the society Adding the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as the vice chairman unit of the society.
