Using ground penetrating radar to detect underground cavities in Nanjing to ensure road safety

Recently, Nanjing Qinhuai District Urban Administration Bureau launched underground cavity monitoring and early warning to ensure the safety and smoothness of urban roads. In the first section of Mochou Road, Qinhuai District, Nanjing, the urban management department entrusted Shanghai Municipal Highway Engineering Testing Co., Ltd. to conduct fixed-point detection of underground cavities on the road.

The on-site personnel detected the road void and other diseases through the pulseekko ground penetrating radar 200MHz of Canadian Sensors & software company, so as to provide basis for disease repair.

With the progress of technology, Canadian Sensors & software (SSI) company launched the latest ultra pulseekko pro.

The existing pulseekko GPR system can be upgraded, and the upgraded system can realize:

(1) The maximum stacking times can reach 65536 without changing the acquisition time;

(2) The signal-to-noise ratio is increased by 100 times;

(3) Double the detection depth;

(4) High dynamic range, which can identify deeper weak energy effective information and subtle changes in waveform. Truly solve the technical problems of urban underground space.
